The Assessor’s Office and Vision Government Solutions have completed the final phase of the 2015 revaluation project.  On January 15, 2016 second notices were mailed to all property owners who had their assessment reviewed due to the informal hearings process. During informal hearings issues are brought to the attention of the Assessor on both specific properties and sometimes on an area of town that needs another review.  Once all issues are addressed the second notice is generated.

If you still believe that your assessment does not reflect market value as of October 1, 2015, you may appeal this new assessment to the Deep River Board of Assessment Appeals by filing an application.  Appeal applications for this process are also available through the above links and in the Assessor’s Office.  Requests for hearings with the Board of Assessment Appeals must be received by February 19, 2016 in order to be considered.
